About the studio
Motion Dept is an independent visual storytelling studio operated by Mmitji Mametsa, known professionally as Mitch Mametsa. It is currently a trading name, not a separately registered company. The website offers visual communication services, not architectural certification or technical approvals.
Visualizations and project ownership
Portfolio imagery depicts architectural visualizations and may not represent completed buildings. Motion Dept’s identified role on selected film projects is render refinement and film production. Original architectural design and render rights remain with their respective owners. Viewing this site does not grant permission to reproduce its assets.
Prices and commissions
Displayed prices are studio starting rates in USD for the stated scope, subject to source review. A written quotation confirms deliverables, dates, applicable taxes, usage rights and payment instructions. Submitting an enquiry does not form a production contract or reserve a slot.
Production and revisions
Production begins after scope approval and a 50% deposit. The remaining 50% is due before clean final delivery. Source Lock and Creative Direction Lock precede the First Cut and Final Approval. Two consolidated revisions are included within the approved direction. Changes to locked design, sources or direction require an agreed change quote and revised schedule. Studio errors are corrected without consuming these rounds. Cancellation, refunds and project retention will be covered in the signed service agreement; this website does not substitute for that agreement.
Client-supplied materials
Clients must be authorized to provide and adapt source material, branding and project facts. The studio checks visual consistency against supplied references, but the client remains responsible for approving design facts and the intended use of the outputs.
No promised commercial outcome
Films and presentations can support communication and marketing. Motion Dept does not guarantee planning approval, investor funding, engagement levels or property sales.
